Studio Sasanqua Inc. (“we”, “us”) recognises the importance of the personal information we obtain through this website. We comply with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other applicable laws, and handle personal information appropriately in accordance with the policy set out below.

1. Information we collect and the purposes of use

We collect personal information in the cases below and use it only within the purposes stated for each. We do not use it for any other purpose.

(1) Job applications

We collect your name, name in kana, date of birth, gender, email address, telephone number and address, together with the information contained in your application documents (résumé, work history, portfolio and the like), such as education, career history, desired position and desired start date.

Purpose of use: to assess applications in our recruitment process, to notify you of the outcome, and for recruitment administration.

(2) Enquiries

We collect your company name, contact person’s name, telephone number, email address and the content of your enquiry.

Purpose of use: to respond and correspond with you regarding your enquiry, and to retain a record of our handling of it.

(3) Information collected automatically when you use this website

We collect information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you view, the referring URL and the date and time of access.

Purpose of use: to understand and improve how this site is used, and to respond to unauthorised access and similar incidents.

2. Cookies and external services

We do not use website analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to measure how this site is used. We use the minimum cookies necessary to hold form input temporarily. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, but the forms may then not work correctly.

To prevent fraudulent form submissions we use “Cloudflare Turnstile”, provided by Cloudflare, Inc. Information including your IP address is sent to that company in the process. Please refer to Cloudflare’s privacy policy for how it is handled.

In addition, each job listing page embeds “Google Maps”, provided by Google LLC, in order to show the place of work. When the map loads, information required for the connection (including your IP address) is sent to that company, and its cookies may be used. Please refer to Google’s privacy policy for how it is handled.

3. Provision to third parties

We do not provide personal information to third parties without obtaining your prior consent, except in any of the following cases.

  • Where required by laws and regulations
  • Where necessary to protect a person’s life, body or property, and it is difficult to obtain your consent
  • Where it is necessary to cooperate with a national government body, a local government, or a party entrusted by either of them, in carrying out affairs prescribed by laws and regulations, and obtaining your consent is likely to impede the performance of those affairs
4. Entrustment of operations

We may entrust the handling of personal information to external parties within the scope necessary to achieve the purposes of use (for example server operation and maintenance, sending and receiving email, and measures against fraudulent form submissions). In such cases we exercise necessary and appropriate supervision over the party entrusted.

5. Retention period

We retain the personal information we collect for the period necessary to achieve the purposes of use and for any period prescribed by laws and regulations, and promptly erase or dispose of it thereafter.

Application documents submitted through the application form are held on the server for 14 days and are deleted automatically once that period has passed. Please note that we are unable to return submitted application documents.

6. Security control measures

We endeavour to take, on an ongoing basis, the technical and organisational security control measures necessary and appropriate against risks such as unauthorised access to personal information and the loss, destruction, alteration or leakage of personal information.

The forms on this site transmit your input over an encrypted connection (SSL/TLS). Application documents are stored in an area that cannot be accessed directly from the web, and authentication is required in order to view them.

7. Requests for disclosure, correction, deletion and the like

Where you request notification of the purpose of use, disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, erasure, or suspension of provision to third parties in respect of retained personal data (excluding evaluation information in our recruitment process), we will verify your identity and respond promptly in accordance with our prescribed procedure.

Please direct such requests to “9. Contact” below.

8. Voluntary nature of providing personal information

Providing personal information to us is voluntary and based on your consent. Please note, however, that if you do not provide the information required for our recruitment process, we may treat your application as withdrawn.

9. Contact

Please direct enquiries about our handling of personal information, requests for disclosure and the like, and complaints, to the following.
